When dealing with this person try to gain their trust and do all you can to protect it. Pull these people into conversation and activities. Be sure to respect their need to be alone or not to engage in socializing and social actions.

Not everyone is a difficult person to deal with all the time. But from time to time, we all run into situations where we found ourselves acting out of our normal personality.
